    Plaque reads: "In Memory of Jacob Scheimer 1679-1757 and his six sons in the colonial and revolutionary wars - Capt. Abraham Shimer, Capt Anthony Shimer, Jacob Shimer 1734-1764, Ensign Samuel Shimer, Capt. Edward Shimer, Lieut. Isaac Shimer and in honor of the pioneer forefathers and mothers, some living in this churchyard. This tablet was erected by their descendants in the year of our Lord 1925"
